Privacy Policy
Feelings Time is made for very young children, so we keep data to an absolute minimum. The short version: no ads, no third-party trackers, no accounts for children, and game progress stays on your device.
At a glance
- No advertising of any kind, and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics or tracking: no tracking pixels, no social media trackers, and no fingerprinting.
- We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. The game asks children for no name, email, photo, voice recording, or location.
- Game progress and settings are stored only on your device, in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us.
- Purchases are made by a parent through Paddle.com, which collects the parent’s email and payment details.
- You can ask us to delete any information we hold, at any time.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for growwithmaomao.com is CHE-FEN HUANG, an individual (sole proprietor) operating as “Grow with Maomao”. Contact: [email protected].
2. Children’s privacy (COPPA and GDPR-K)
The game is designed for children aged about 1.5–3 to play with a parent or caregiver. We follow the principles of the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the children’s provisions of the EU and UK GDPR:
- Children can play without creating an account or giving any personal information.
- The child-facing game makes no network requests to us or to third parties for tracking, advertising, or analytics. The game’s assets are served as static files from our website host.
- Grown-up areas (settings, links, and purchases) are meant for adults. Purchases happen only through Paddle’s checkout, which is for adults.
- If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it promptly.
3. Information stored on your device
The game saves things like which stories have been played, chosen language, age setting, sound and music volume, play-time limit, and unlock status in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Purchases through Paddle
When a parent buys an unlock, Paddle.com acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the purchaser’s email address, payment details, billing country or postcode (for tax), and IP address (for fraud prevention and tax), under Paddle’s privacy policy. We never receive your full card details. Paddle shares with us the order details we need to deliver and support your purchase: the purchaser’s email, the country, what was bought, and the order status. We use this only to provide and restore your unlock, handle refunds, answer support requests, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations.
5. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply and help you.
6. Website hosting
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors. Our support email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our inbox.
7. Legal bases (EU/UK users)
We process purchase and support data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, and to meet legal obligations such as tax records. Data kept on your device is used solely to make the game work.
8. How long we keep data
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide your unlock and as required by tax and accounting laws, typically up to 7 years. We keep support emails for up to 2 years after your last message, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
9. Your rights and deletion requests
Parents and other users can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete their personal information, or to stop processing it. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” and the email address you used. We’ll respond within 30 days. Some order records may need to be kept for legal or tax reasons, and we’ll tell you if so. For data Paddle holds as Merchant of Record, we will pass your request to Paddle, or you can contact Paddle directly. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security and transfers
The site is served only over HTTPS. Our service providers (Paddle and Cloudflare) may process data in other countries, with appropriate safeguards in place.
11. Changes
If we ever change how we handle data, for example if we add an optional parent journal with cloud sync, we will update this policy before the change and, where required, ask for a parent’s consent first.
